Audience Candy

Building awareness for visual art?

In the same vein as Dragons Den or The Apprentice, the new BBC show School of Saatchi will see 6 undiscovered contemporary artists compete for a chance to exhibit their work at the Hermitage in St Petersburg, with the support of Charles Saatchi.
Will this raise visitor numbers for art galleries in the UK? Will it serve to help the public understand the artform? See the first episode on the BBC website here.

AL News

Current Clients and Projects

We're just wrapping up on a number of projects including Reach - a professional development programme for Local Authority Arts Officers, NI11 data surgeries and City Circ audience research; while two projects - understanding audiences for the visual arts and our work with a consortium of London's leading producing theatres - are motoring along; and Respond 2 - supporting organisations to diversify their audiences is just beginning with five new organisations.

We've also just delivered research reports to the Photographer's Gallery and Write to Ignite, audience development consultancy to Kali Theatre Company, community engagement training to Create KX's organisations and workshops on bringing audience information together to the Tate.
