Audience Candy
Building awareness for visual art? In the same vein as Dragons Den or The Apprentice, the new BBC show School of Saatchi will see 6 undiscovered contemporary artists compete for a chance to exhibit their work at the Hermitage in St Petersburg, with the support of Charles Saatchi. Will this raise visitor numbers for art galleries in the UK? Will it serve to help the public understand the artform? See the first episode on the BBC website here.
