Audience Candy
We wanted to start this year by reflecting on how far we have come. In 2011: - AL worked with over 400 arts, heritage and other cultural organisations from across London, the UK and abroad.
- Nearly 300 people attended our programme of events to support learning and development, including seminars, symposia and networking sessions.
- We produced 15 reports and resources sharing knowledge across the sector on topics including managing change, audience gender and engagement with older people, young people and families.
- We ran 11 major collaborative projects including Snapshot for Visual Arts and Performing Arts, national audience monitoring for the MLA and a collaborative marketing campaign for orchestras.

We helped the National Campaign for the Arts produce their inaugural UK Arts Index, which was presented in parliament in December 2011 and is now freely available online. The Index is a health-check for the state of the arts and plots trends in tickets sales, corporate sponsorship, philanthropy and public sector funding, as well as other performance measures such as attendance levels for adults and young people, satisfaction levels and the number of people volunteering in the arts. Order forms are now available from our website to request Area Profile Reports. These provide a wealth of socio-demographic data in handy reports specific to your area. They are a quick way of understanding and identifying target areas, and are available to National Porfolio Organisations, Local Authorities and organisations receiving ACE Grants for the Arts funding for free up to three times per year. Find out more and download order forms here. |
Here's a reminder of what's in the diary so far for 2012, and don't forget that more events will be announced very soon. “All of it was extremely useful!
