Older People Symposium

Date: Thursday 1 October 2009
Time: TBC
Venue: NCVO, Kings Cross, London
Price: £TBC

As the older population becomes increasingly diverse, this event is a timely opportunity to hear insights, case studies and expertise from different perspectives of how engaging with your older audiences could become an essential inspiration to your organization.

What proportion of your audiences and visitors were born before 1959? The UK's population is ageing with 16% of the UK population now aged 65 or over. Population change is happening now - 2008 saw for the first time ever more pensioners than people under 16. Is the arts and heritage sector keeping up? Do we understand enough about what our ?older' customers want from culture? And how they expect to engage with it?

More details to follow in the summer. Watch this space for details.
