Understanding Audiences Programme

This year we're delighted to present our new event programmes; the first of which is all about Understanding Audiences.

The Principles of... sessions will provide an in depth overview of the subject matter, looking at real sources and insightful case studies. Our Into practice... sessions are designed to turn this knoweldge into practical skills and methods to digest your audience research and understand your data analysis.

These seminars are appropriate for arts and cultural organisations of all scales and sizes. If you'd like some advice on what's specifically suitable for your needs please do contact us.

6 October 2010 Explore your potential audiences using existing (and free!) data

There is a wealth of information out there ? easily-accessed and free ? that could give you a deeper understanding of both your existing and your potential audiences. But it isn't easy to work out which are the most useful sources, and even harder to pull out the information of importance to you.

This session will speed up how you do this kind of research, and help you get the maximum value from the free sources ? letting you concentrate more time on what to do with the insights.

18 November 2010 Into Practice… DIY online surveying

Whether it's just audience demographics, levels of engagement or feedback you're looking for, this practical session will help you navigate the set-up, delivery and simple analysis of your Surveymonkey or Quest Back e-survey.

12 January 2011 Into Practice… Analysing data and research results

This practical session will introduce you to a range of easy to use techniques for analysing, using and sorting the audience data which you get from mailing lists, box offices, questionnaires or interviews.
